Facing Maine Participates in Family Cleft Lip and Palate Conference

On March 7th, 2020, Facing Maine had the honor of participating in Maine's very first Family Cleft Lip and Palate Conference. Held at Maine Medical Center, the Maine Cleft Lip and Palate Clinic at Barbara Bush Children's Hospital sponsored this conference geared towards families titled "Cleft Lip and Palate: A Journey from Infancy to Adulthood". It was a great day of sharing information and connecting with new families! Topics discussed included timeline of care, genetics, dental care, speech pathology, and resources for families. Other organizations such as Children's Craniofacial Association, Maine Parent Federation, and the Foundation for Faces of Children also attended and shared resources with families. Facing Maine was also the recipient of a generous donation from Foundation for Faces of Children to assist our programs here in Maine!
